Ardavan Makaremi, PT, DPT began his professional education in kinesiology, earning a Bachelor of Science at California State University, Northridge. He went on to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at West Coast University in Los Angeles.
Research and continued learning
His academic research examined how performing a second task can affect walking and balance. That work was presented at the 2019 Tri-State Conference in Las Vegas.
Continuing education has included upper-extremity, lower-extremity, and spine injuries through CSM, the California Physical Therapy Association, Kaiser Permanente, and MedBridge. This ongoing study supports his use of current evidence-based models and guidelines.
Professional service
As the California Physical Therapy Association Student Assembly Representative for Greater Los Angeles, Ardavan worked on efforts intended to improve the environment in which patients and physical therapists pursue better outcomes.
Clinical experience
Ardavan’s background spans outpatient orthopedic practice, inpatient skilled nursing, and hospital settings. Today, he owns Physical Therapy 1st Rehab & Wellness in Montebello, California.
